India’s LPG Supply Normal, Indian Oil Urges Customers to Stay Calm
According to Indian Oil Corporation, in India there is no shortage of LPG supply in the country. The company has said that LPG supply is under control even though there are global tensions that affect the energy market. They advise people that they should avoid unnecessary LPG cylinder holding and also avoid panic booking.
Indian Oil Corporation is ensuring that there should not be any domestic LPG supply shortage and it is their top priority. The company is also closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to maintain smooth LPG distribution in the country.
If we talk about the current situation, the company delivers 28 lakh cylinders daily with normal operations. In India, customers are receiving cylinders on time and there is no disturbance in the supply chain.
The company has requested that customers should not make unnecessary LPG cylinder bookings and should not panic that they will not get LPG cylinders. Unnecessary booking will create an artificial shortage and it will cause inconvenience for other customers. The company is requesting customers to book only when they require.
Indian Oil Corporation has highlighted that customers should use digital platforms for LPG booking. Nearly 87% of refill bookings are made through online methods like SMS and IVRS. Digital options are fast and convenient and also reduce crowding at distribution centers.
The company has taken strict action against malpractices in LPG distribution. The company has taken strict action on black marketing and has deployed multiple teams to conduct surprise inspections at LPG distribution centers. Till now, action has been taken against 140 LPG distribution centers. Around 68,000 raids have been carried out with the help of state authorities and other oil marketing companies. These efforts have resulted in 855 FIRs and the seizure of 48,000 cylinders involved in illegal activities.
The company has advised customers that they should check official sources and stay updated, and not believe in rumors on social media, because false information can create unnecessary panic.
